Questions about the course
Is the AI Fundamentals course really free?
Yes. All eight lessons are free to read, with no sign-up and no payment. There is no paid certificate. Our live class and the advanced AI Agents Course are separate, paid options.
Do I need any technical background?
No. The course is written for people who use email, documents and spreadsheets at work. If you can use WhatsApp and a web browser, you can do this course.
Which AI tool do I need?
Any one of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Microsoft Copilot. The free version of any of them is enough for every lesson. Lesson 2 helps you choose.
How long does the course take?
About 2.9 hours of reading in total, in eight lessons of 20 to 25 minutes. Each lesson ends with a task to do in your real work that week, so most people spread it over two to four weeks.
Is it safe to use AI with client information?
Only with care. Lesson 7 explains what Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019 means for AI at work, what never to paste into a chat, and a simple team policy you can adopt.
Is this the same as the CBC Edu Kenya AI course?
No. CBC Edu Kenya's free AI courses are for students, teachers and children. This course is for working professionals and business owners, and focuses on everyday office tasks.
