Tell us about your reconciliation

Payments received via M-Pesa (Till, Paybill or Pochi) on a typical day.

People who match payments to orders or invoices.

Average time each of those staff spends matching payments daily.

We convert this to an hourly cost using a 195-hour work month (4.33 weeks x 45 hours).

Six days a week is about 26 days a month.

Share of payments with wrong reference, part-payment, or no clear match. These take the most time.

Payments that go unclaimed, get double-refunded, or are never reconciled. For context only.

How automation does it

Where the saved hours come from

We connect to the official Safaricom M-Pesa Daraja API so payment confirmations flow straight into your system. There is no more scrolling through SMS or an M-Pesa statement line by line. The automation does three jobs every day:

  1. Matches payments to orders and invoices automatically, using the reference, amount, and phone number, so clean transactions reconcile themselves.
  2. Flags mismatches - wrong references, part-payments, duplicates, or amounts that do not tie out - so your staff only look at the exceptions, not every line.
  3. Produces a daily reconciliation report you can open each morning, showing what matched, what did not, and what needs a human decision.

We integrate with M-Pesa through the Daraja API only. We do not touch, request, or store your customers' transaction data beyond what your own system needs to match a payment to an order.
